About me
Hi, I'm Edy
I've always had two passions: talking to travellers, and Etna. At the cable car station I'll help you choose the right excursion for you, with clear, honest advice.
My story
I've had my two passions since I was a child: talking to people who come from elsewhere, and Etna. Today they're my job: at Piazzale Funivia, Etna South, I help visitors choose between the quad, trekking and the summit craters.
To me, Etna is one of Italy's most fascinating natural wonders, partly because it changes so much with altitude: from woodland to ash, with weather that shifts from one hour to the next. That's why I advise you based on what you need and what you can manage.
Every day I meet travellers from all over the world: Italy, Poland, China, Germany, France, Spain and beyond. I speak Italian, English and a little French.

Before you go
Weather and volcanic activity decide whether we go up and how far, and the choice is made on the spot, on the day. High-altitude excursions are not suitable for anyone with heart or breathing problems.
