What the excursion is like

It's the highest excursion, and the one that depends most on the conditions. It usually runs from June to August, with some exceptions: weather and volcanic activity decide whether we go up and how far.

The final decision is made on the spot, on the day. That's why I can't promise you lava: you rarely see it, and only when safety conditions allow it.

Groups are small, 10–12 people. It's not suitable for anyone with heart or breathing problems.
